Spring at Pine Nursery Park

I was walking my favorite loop around Pine Nursery park and after a few minutes, I stood still in my tracks.

There was so much beauty and so many moments happening around me, I wanted to soak it all in.

(Scroll to the end for a “5 Spring Activities in Bend” list!)

I felt so much gratefulness for this place, this town. The living realization, once again, that these scenes are walking distances to homes blows my mind. After 6 years of living here I still feel my quality of life notch up each time I appreciate this.

I saw someone fishing the pond.

I saw couples with their dogs at the off-leash dog park, enjoying each step and talking intently.

I saw Pickle Ball going full blast. The mountains really say hi at this park because the elevation is higher on the East side of town which makes looking West a treat.

I saw sand volleyball being enjoyed.

One of the most popular Disc Golf courses is at this park.

Spring in Bend is pure magic—wildflowers pop, trails reopen, patios fill up, and the energy shifts… every corner of the city feels like an invitation to start something new.

Spring is traditionally a high-activity season in real estate. More homes hit the market, and with that comes more opportunities. Natural light, green grass, and budding trees can transform a home. I always say: spring is when homes “smile.”

As a local real estate agent (and lover of tiny homes, renovation projects, and big dreams), I’ve seen firsthand how this season brings a special kind of energy to Bend—and the housing market. Whether you're a buyer, a browser, or someone who just loves a scenic walk past cute houses, spring is the time to look around and get inspired.

Weekend house hunting can feel like a mini-vacation. You can explore listings in the morning, hit the farmers market at lunch, and end the day with a sunset beer by the river at Bend Brewing. House hunting doesn’t have to feel stressful—it can actually be fun (I promise). Below are some activities I recommend!

🌸 5 Spring Activities That Make Bend Feel Like Home:

  1. Pine Nursery Park in NE Bend: As you can see in my post, there is so much to do at this park… but it’s also a great place to do nothing! Featuring the biggest dog park in Bend, disc golf course, Pickle Ball, volleyball (sand courts!) and fishing. There is over 4.5 miles of paved trails interwoven throughout the park. Bring a friend. You won’t be sorry!

  2. Downtown Farmers Market: Wednesdays starting today 11-3PM! Bring a blanket, buy some local snacks and enjoy the scenery at Drake Park. (Walking distance from the market).

  3. Spring Ski at Mount Bachelor: For only $350 you get 2 months of unlimited alpine skiing and snowboarding with the Spring Pass, valid every day from April 1 through Mt. Bachelor's final day of the winter season, scheduled for May 26, 2025! See you there!

  4. Stay home: Don’t laugh! Open all of your doors and windows, turn on some music, start a project, cook a meal you’ve been wanting to try, and invite your friends for some relaxing on the patio.

  5. Scout Neighborhoods for Curb Appeal Inspo: One of the best low-key spring activities? Driving or biking around cute neighborhoods and checking out fresh landscaping, porch setups, or renovation ideas. Snap pics for future vision boards!

Below are two of mine- I am definitely planting Lilacs soon!
